Laduma Hardware Return Policy

At Laduma Hardware, we prioritise customer satisfaction. We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations or requirements, and a return may be necessary. Our return and refund policy makes this process easy and clear for everyone, whether you shop online or in-store.

General Return Policy Overview

When you buy or receive most products, you have 14 to 30 days to return them. The exact return period depends on the type and condition of the product. To return an item, it must be:

  • Unused and in its original condition.
  • Returned with all original packaging, labels, accessories, and documents like manuals or warranty cards.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or order confirmation email.
  • Some items cannot be returned for safety or licensing reasons

We can refuse a return if the item does not meet these requirements.

Return Windows and Categories

At Laduma Hardware, return terms depend on the type of product bought.

  • Most general merchandise items, including electronics, home appliances, accessories, kitchenware, small household goods, and office supplies, can be returned within 14 days of purchase or delivery.
  • Certain categories qualify for an extended return period of 30 days, including products sold and delivered directly by Laduma Hardware, purchases made during promotional periods, and online orders delivered by courier.
  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a defective or damaged product within six months, unless the issue is due to misuse, unauthorised modifications, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or improper use according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Some items are ineligible for return due to their specific characteristics or safety considerations.

  • Custom-made items include cut-to-size wood, tailor-made fabrications, and modified or assembled products.
  • Products installed or showing signs of use, such as switches and plumbing fittings, cannot be returned.
  • The store does not accept returns of merchandise marked "Final Sale" or as part of clearance promotions, including gift cards, vouchers, and prepaid codes issued by the store.

Incorrect, Incomplete, or Damaged Deliveries

If you receive any of the following issues:

  • The wrong product
  • A damaged or broken item
  • A delivery missing components or accessories

Please notify Laduma Hardware within 7 days of receiving the item. We will arrange one of the following:

  • A replacement delivery
  • A collection and refund

To assist with your request, we may ask for supporting details, including:

  • Photographs of the damaged product and packaging
  • Your invoice or order number
  • A brief description of the issue

Please note that delays in reporting these issues beyond the 7 days may affect your eligibility for a resolution.

Refund and Exchange Options

Refund Methods

Once your return is approved and the product has passed inspection, Laduma Hardware will issue a refund using one of the following methods:

  • Original Payment Method: Refunds are processed to credit/debit cards, EFT, or digital wallets and may take 3 to 10 business days.
  • Cash: For in-store purchases, this option is subject to approval from the store manager.
  • Store Credit: This can be redeemed in-store or online.
  • Gift Card: If your initial payment used a voucher or was part of a promotion.

You'll get a confirmation SMS or email once your refund is processed.

Exchange Options

Exchanges may be requested:

  • In-store at any Laduma Hardware branch
  • Online through our customer support team

Eligibility for exchange based on:

  • Stock availability
  • Product condition
  • Return time frame

Return Procedure

In-Store Returns

To return an item at Laduma Hardware, bring it and your proof of purchase to any store. A store associate will check the product and offer you options for an exchange, refund, or store credit based on what you prefer and what you are eligible for. They will also give you a return slip to keep for your records.

Online Purchases

To return an item purchased online, visit (site address), log in to your account, and go to My Orders. Select the item, click Request a Return, and choose Courier Collection (if eligible) or Drop-Off at Nearest Store. You'll receive a return reference number and instructions via email.

Return Shipping

Items that are defective or incorrectly shipped are eligible for free returns. For non-faulty items returned due to a change of mind, you will incur the return fees, which may be deducted from your refund unless specified otherwise.

Product Inspection Process

When we receive the returned item at our store or warehouse, we will conduct a quality check to verify its condition and completeness.

Our refund policy is 3 to 7 business days for valid returns. Items that are damaged or have been misused will not be accepted for return.

Warranty Returns

To claim your warranty benefits, please bring your original purchase receipt and deliver the product for evaluation at any Laduma Hardware location. We might send your item to the manufacturer or an approved repair center for service. The timeframe and conditions for warranty service depend on the manufacturer's established guidelines. Our team will assist you throughout this process to ensure prompt resolution of your claim.

Order Cancellations and Changes

Before Delivery: If your order has not shipped, you can cancel it by contacting Laduma Hardware Customer Support by phone or email.

After Delivery: If the product has already arrived, you must follow our return policy to send it back. Please note, you might be responsible for the courier charges unless the item is faulty or different from what you ordered.

Promotional Products and Bundles

If your order included complimentary items, discounts, or bundled products, please understand that full refunds require returning all bundle components. For partial returns from promotions, we'll subtract the value of free items or applied discounts from your refund amount. You won't get back any vouchers you used unless you return the entire order.
